West Brom manager Roy Hodgson is desperate to hold on to striker Peter Odemwingie so much that he is prepared to offer a new improved deal to the Nigerian.
The 29-year-old who arrived from Lokomotiv Moscow for £2million last summer has been in sensational form for the Baggies in recent weeks.
This has culminated in the steering away of the club from the relegation zone for which they are now prepared to reward the Nigerian.
Reports in the English press suggests Odemwingie could have his current £15,000-a-week wage tripled, which will thereby make him one of the well-paid players with the club.
