Tottenham Hotspurs are reportedly considering a shocking bid to secure the services of Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan in the summer.
The Ghana international just joined the Black Cats last summer in a £13million deal from French club Stade Renne.
Though there have been no official contact between the club, Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has made his intentions of holding on to the hitman clear.
The departure of Sulley Muntari and John Mensah after the loan spells at Wearside is however seen as a possible reason for this unlikely deal going through.
Gyan, who has also been tracked by Bayern Munich, is out for the rest of this season with a hamstring injury.
