Zimbabwe coach Norman Mapeza has named 13 foreign-based in his squad to face Mali in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this month.
The squad is dominated by players from the the South African Premiership.
Only five players were called up from Europe and they are Justice Majabvi (Austria), Noel Kaseke (Cyprus), Vusa Nyoni (Belgium), Ovidy Karuru (France) and Onismor Bhasera (England).
Al-Hilal’s Edward Sadomba is also in the fold with last year’s top marksman Norman Maroto as the only local striker named in the squad.
Should Mushekwi and Musona replicate their club form in the Warriors jersey, the Mali defence will have to be at their best to contain the two hit men.
Tinashe Nengomasha has also been retained after commanding a first team jersey at Chiefs while Dynamos midfielders Archford Gutu and Denver Mukamba will also battle for places in the same department.
Karuru makes a comeback to the team after he last played for the outfit in Zimbabwe’s 3-0 defeat to Brazil in June last year.
