Striker Mido would have a clear-the-air talks with Ajax boss Franck de Boer after the holidays to know for sure whether he has a future at the Eredivisie club.
The ex Tottenham star has yet to play a single minute under the new manager, who seems to be considering the Egyptian a fourth-choice striker.
“We will talk after returning from the holiday on January 4th. But I want to stay because of the fans,” said the 27-year-old.
Reports in the Dutch papers claim Mido, who hasn’t played for Egypt in several months, had been approached by La Liga duo of Deportivo Lacuruna and Espanyol, but the offers weren’t ‘financially attractive’.
Ajax, currently fourth in the Eredivisie, play their next game against Feyenoord on the 19th of January.
