Camara extends contract at  Montpellier

Senegalese striker Souleymane Camara has extended his contract with Montpellier until June 2013, the French club announced on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old arrived from Nice in 2007 and helped Montpellier achieve promotion from Ligue 2 two years later.

The former Monaco player has scored one goal in seven appearances to date in the 2010-11 Ligue 1 season.

He netted nine times last term, earning him a recall to the Senegalese national team.
