Adebayor stays put at City

Adebayor going nowhere

Emmanuel Adebayor will have to fight for his place in Manchester City’s starting line up as he failed to make a move during the transfer period which is now officially closed.

The former Togo captain has been agitating for a move having seen his first team appearances restricted to the substitute bench but will now have to wait for the January trnasfer window if he still harbours the ambition of leaving the Premier League ‘cash kings’.

The 26 year old scored 14 times in 25 appearances for City in his first season following his 25million pounds move from Arsenal in 2008.
